We are looking for an awesome Vue.js or React.js frontend developer to join ELSA and help us build beautiful frontend pages for internal and external customers. As part of your job you will interact with backend developers, designers and even speech researchers to build amazing web frontend pages full of functionality that showcase the different products and technology that we are building inside ELSA.

The role

You will be working hand-on-hand with ELSA’s marketing and business development teams as well as with the engineering and UX/UI teams to define and implement beautiful and feature-full web frontends.

As part of your role you will:

• Write performant client-side code for interfaces both for desktop and mobile web browsers

• Build reusable and elegant code and libraries for future use

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX concepts, interact with designers to achieve the best product

• Optimize the applications for speed and scalability

• Collaborate with the backend team to optimally integrate the frontend with the backend servers via API’s

• Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise

• Work closely and effectively with product owners to understand and address their needs

• TMaintain technical documentation and follow good software engineering practices

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in building front end products

• BS in Computer Science or similar

• Experienced working with web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

• Experienced working with client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks: React.js, Vue.js, etc

• Knowledge of common security flaws on frontend and what are the best practices to mitigate them

• Experience with standard software engineering processes following agile methodologies and code versioning using Git

• Enjoy working in an international environment with people from many different backgrounds and cultures

• Good communication and team collaboration skills

• Fluent conversational English

Bonus Skills

• Experience working both on server side as well as client side

• Experience working with NGINX

• Experience working with SQL/Postgres and other relational DBs

• Experience working with Docker containers
