The role

At ELSA we know how important it is to know our customers in order to serve them best. For this reason we adapt many aspects of the apps and the speech processing algorithms based on what we learn from our users over time. We are now setting up a data science team to improve existing algorithms and further leverage this knowledge to improve our users’ learning journey.

As part of your role you will:

• Organize and analyze anonymized data from our users to find patterns and explain their behavior.

• Predict what our users might do next based on behavior events and other contextual data collected from our different data sources.

• Propose changes in the app or our backend infrastructure to improve decision making and optimize the company’s OKRs

• Work with backend engineers to improve existing data acquisition and processing pipelines.

• Build data products around the information we currently have from users

• Present the key findings in a clear way (e.g. through interpretable visualizations) to both technical and non-technical team members

We are looking to fill this position in US or Vietnam or remote

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data science or related areas

• Relevant experience in doing data science at consumer startup in order to draw relevant insights

• Strong business sense in order to connect between data and products

• Able to work with non-engineer people (meaning PM and executives) to present their insights

• Strong experience using Python with numpy, scikit-learn, Pandas, etc.

• Be familiar with state-of-the-art methods for data analysis

• Some experience managing data at scale, optimally on a company setting

• Good communication skills in English
